Egg quality is becoming increasingly important in modern egg production, as profitability depends not only on the number of eggs produced but also on characteristics such as egg weight, albumen quality, yolk colour and nutritional value. Maintaining these parameters throughout the production cycle can be challenging due to stress, age and periods of high physiological demand.
SOLERGY is a nutritional solution based on a synergistic combination of gluconeogenic and phytogenic compounds designed to support functional energy availability and improve metabolic efficiency in laying hens. Its mode of action focuses on supporting hepatic energy metabolism, improving nutrient utilization and helping birds maintain productive performance under demanding conditions.
The liver plays a central role in egg production, being responsible for lipid synthesis for the yolk, nutrient transport, fat-soluble vitamin metabolism and energy balance regulation. Studies in avian cell models showed that SOLERGY increased ATP production, improved the ATP/ADP ratio, enhanced glycogen accumulation in hepatocytes and provided protection against oxidative damage, suggesting improved metabolic efficiency and energy availability.

The trial also showed better albumen quality, improved commercial presentation, increased nutritional value and greater stability of egg quality throughout the production cycle. The positive effects were maintained over time, suggesting sustained metabolic support, particularly in phases when egg quality tends to decline with age.
The article concludes that improving metabolic efficiency can help hens make better use of dietary energy and nutrients, supporting liver function, nutrient deposition and overall egg quality. In this context, SOLERGY is presented as a nutritional tool that contributes to maintaining egg quality and productive performance, particularly in demanding production systems focused on quality and added value.
