The HI98190 portable pH meter comes with an HI12963 pH electrode with a titanium body and a built-in temperature sensor for automatic temperature-compensated readings. The titanium probe body is chemically resistant to aggressive products and is virtually unbreakable. The HI12963 pH/temperature electrode has a newly designed DIN Quick Connect connector that provides a simple, waterproof connection without any threading.
The exclusive CAL Check function Hanna alerts the user to potential errors during the calibration process. By comparing the previous calibration data with the current calibration, the meter will alert the user with on-screen prompts if the probe detects cleaning or is broken, and if the pH solution may be contaminated. After calibration, the overall condition of the probe is displayed as a percentage from 0 to 100% in 10% increments. The probe status is affected by the pH electrode's offset and slope characteristics and is displayed on the calibration day measurement screen and in the GLP data. Calibration can be performed at up to five points with seven pre-programmed standard pH buffers and five custom buffers to achieve a pH accuracy of 0.002 with a pH resolution of 0.001. By pressing the virtual "AutoHold" key displayed in measurement mode, the handheld meter will freeze a stable reading, documenting or recording the reading. An "out of calibration range" warning can be enabled. which alerts the user when a reading falls within the calibrated pH value range. The "log-on-demand" mode allows the user to record and save up to 200 samples (100 for pH and 100 for mV). This data, along with associated GLP data, can be transferred to a PC using Hanna's HI920015 micro USB cable and HI92000 software. The high-contrast LCD screen is easy to read outdoors in bright sunlight and in low-light areas with the use of a backlight. A combination of dedicated and virtual keys allows for easy and intuitive operation in a variety of languages. The compact and durable carrying case is Designed to contain all the components necessary for field measurements, including the meter and electrode, beakers, buffer solutions, cleaning solutions, and storage solutions.
