Taking place from June 16–19, 2026, at Thiskyhall Sala Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City, IPVS 2026 is expected to attract more than 4,000 delegates from around the world.

Ho Chi Minh City, June 1, 2026 – With only a few days remaining before the official opening of the 28th International Pig Veterinary Society Congress (IPVS 2026), the Organizing Committee held a press conference to share key updates on preparations for what is set to be the largest international event of the year for the swine health and production sector.

More Than a Scientific Congress

During the press conference, speakers emphasized that IPVS 2026 is not only a scientific congress but also an opportunity for Vietnam to further strengthen its position within the global scientific and swine veterinary community.

According to the Organizing Committee, securing the right to host IPVS 2026 is the result of years of academic achievement, international collaboration, and strategic preparation. It also marks the first time that Vietnam has hosted a swine veterinary event of this global scale.

Participants noted that the success of IPVS 2026 will help promote Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam as destinations for international scientific events while providing local researchers with greater access to the latest scientific advances and global expertise.

Preparations Enter the Final Stage

The Organizing Committee reported that preparations have been underway for many months through close collaboration between Nong Lam University Ho Chi Minh City and Minh Vi Advertising & Exhibition Services Co., Ltd.

Key activities, including scientific program development, speaker coordination, logistics planning, communications, delegate services, and accompanying activities, have been carefully reviewed and finalized.

Given the scale of the congress and the large number of international participants expected, the Organizing Committee has arranged shuttle bus services between designated hotels and the congress venue. Comprehensive plans have also been developed for security, medical support, emergency response, fire safety, and traffic management to ensure a safe and professional event experience.

Participants at the press conference also highlighted the importance of continued coordination with Ho Chi Minh City authorities regarding traffic management, international delegate support, and infrastructure services throughout the congress.

Strong Support from the Business Community

One of the key messages highlighted during the press conference was the strong support received from both domestic and international companies.

According to members of the Organizing Committee, the significant number of sponsors across various sponsorship levels reflects the industry's confidence in the scientific value and global influence of IPVS within the swine sector.

The involvement of industry partners not only provides essential resources for the congress but also creates opportunities to strengthen connections among researchers, policymakers, and producers, fostering technology transfer and the practical application of scientific knowledge.
