The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy reports that the 2025/2026 soybean harvest totaled 49,700,000 metric tons, making it the second-best harvest in the last five years, according to data from the National Directorate of Agriculture.
The oilseed crop benefited from yields exceeding 3,000 kilograms per hectare, higher than the previous six growing seasons. The total area planted this growing season was 16.3 million hectares.
It is worth noting that the continuous and abundant rainfall from late summer until May allowed the crop to recover, as it had been suffering from high temperatures and a lack of moisture. Many first-crop soybeans were affected, but the good performance of the second-crop soybeans compensated for this.
The start of the harvest was delayed due to a rainy period, which affected soil conditions in the fields. However, this situation did not significantly impact the quality of the harvest or result in the loss of fields due to inaccessibility.
