Part of the IMV Technologies Group, Import-Vet is a leading company in Spain specializing in swine artificial insemination technologies.
To support our growth, we are looking for Area Sales Manager Import Vet based in central Spain.
Role and Responsibilities:
The position oversees and develops the existing customer portfolio, in the Central Zone, to strengthen the business in the swine artificial insemination product line. Ensure sales growth through customer retention and the introduction of new products from future acquisitions of the IMV Technologies Group.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for Import-vet customer base and initiate visits and maintain contact with existing key customers and prospective clients.
- Ability to cover the full sales process from prospect identification, needs evaluation, customized quotations, follow-up and negotiation in coordination with manager and support team.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles involving different profiles; for example, the farmer, veterinary, production director, and management.
- Develop, share and execute an annual plan to secure and grow existing accounts; to acquire new accounts and to launch new, innovative products.
- Give technical support to customers and perform field demonstrations, these will be sometimes on farms and with animals (porcine animals mainly).
- Support clients to their satisfaction after delivery and use of our products.
- Coordinate and share information with the after-sales service department.
- Provide qualitative and timely reports with the corresponding analysis of sales and attend monthly meetings with Sales Management.
- Maintain accurate pipeline for customer portfolio, segmentation.
- Monitor competition and share valuable information inside the group to keep the leading position in the marketplace.
Profile:
Education and experience requirements
- Education background in Veterinary Medicine, Agronomy, Animal Science or related fields (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license
- Proven experience in sales and customer management. Previous experience in managing distributors would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Swine production and reproduction, animal health or nutrition
- Knowledge of the Spanish market. Knowledge of the Portuguese market would be advantageous
- Languages skill: Fluent in Spanish and Business English

- Strong commercial drive. Able to sell technical products.
- Excellent Communication skill with proven ability to speak to people at all levels.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent computer skills, capable to work with our various systems including Microsoft office.
- Ability to travel to customer sites in the designed area. Expected travel intensity 80%.
