United Kingdom - Single payment will not be top-sliced in Wales

The Welsh Assembly will not be introducing a National Envelope scheme – a provision which would have seen the redirection of 10 per cent of the Single Farm Payment allocated to farmers.

The Welsh Assembly will not be introducing a National Envelope scheme – a provision which would have seen the redirection of 10 per cent of the Single Farm Payment allocated to farmers.

The decision takes account of the comments received following an extensive industry-wide consultation on whether to take forward the envelope provision included in the November 2008 agreement under the CAP Health Check process.
