According to the latest data on the swine census published by the Ukrainian Statistics Institute, as on April 1st, 2011, the census was at 8,000,600 animals.

According to the latest data on the swine census published by the Ukrainian Statistics Institute, as on April 1st, 2011, the census was at 8,000,600 animals, 3,606,800 of which are kept in agricultural holdings, and 4,393,800 on private farms. Compared to the previous year, the population is up 4.7% in agricultural holdings and up 1.4% on private farms.
