At EuroTier 2026, BEWITAL agri is presenting two novelties for swine:

BEWI®-FATRIX Phytoguard

It's a functional specialised solution for performance-oriented monogastric concepts. The product combines vegetable fat with selected botanicals and was developed to support gut health, microbial balance, feed intake and feed efficiency. The NutriShield® embedding technology protects sensitive botanical components and enables stable processing as well as homogeneous distribution in the feed. A scientific broiler study at Südwestfalen University of Applied Sciences showed significantly improved feed conversion in the starter phase and significantly higher feed intake in the finisher phase.

Protecting functional botanicals and making them available where needed

Botanicals can react sensitively to external influences during processing and storage. The NutriShield® embedding technology protects sensitive botanical components and supports their stable and homogeneous processing in the feed. This allows the functional ingredients to be integrated reliably into feeding concepts and made available in the animal where they are needed.

BEWI®-FATRIX Phytoguard was developed for performance-oriented feeding concepts in which gut health, microbial balance, feed intake and feed efficiency are to be supported specifically.

BEWI®-FATRIX Lactiva

It's a functional specialised solution for high-performing sows around farrowing and lactation. The product combines highly digestible energy and lecithin with selected botanicals such as willow bark and fenugreek. The functional combination is designed to support the metabolism, oxidative balance and performance of the sow in phases of increased requirement. At the same time, Lactiva supports milk yield during lactation and therefore the supply to the piglets.

Two field tests in the Netherlands show higher weaning weights: in the first test, litter weight at weaning was 5.4 kg higher and weaning weight per piglet 140 g higher. The second test recorded 2.10 percentage points fewer pre-weaning piglet losses and a weaning weight per piglet that was 220 g higher.

Targeted support in a demanding phase

The period around farrowing and lactation places high demands on the sow’s metabolism. BEWI®-FATRIX Lactiva was developed specifically for this phase. The functional combination supports the metabolism around farrowing and creates the basis for a good start to lactation. By supporting milk yield, Lactiva helps to improve the supply to the piglets in a decisive growth phase and to support high-performing, vital litters.

Alongside the energy supply, the focus is above all on the sow’s oxidative balance and metabolic situation. Lactiva is therefore suited to feeding concepts that accompany high-performing sows specifically during the transition phase and lactation.
