In this second video, a necropsy was performed on a pig with fibrino-necrotic typhlocolitis caused by Salmonella Choleraesuis.
Along with the diphtheroid foci, or "button ulcers", other lesions are also observed such as edema in the mesocolon, a lesion that can also be observed in pigs of this age, in other diseases such as Clostridioides difficile infection or edema disease.
To complement the necropsy course, we have produced a series of videos of different processes in pigs.
After interpreting the lesions we must proceed to sample collection.
