An outbreak was reported on an outdoor pig farm in Haute-Garonne on December 20, 2019 and cases have been detected in hunting dogs.
The disease has emerged subclinically, and the virus has not been isolated so far.
The case does not affect the official Aujeszky's disease free status of Finland, since it was found in a wild boar.
The serology tests were positive within the framework of the programmed surveillance.
