Picture 5 - Fibrinohemorrhagic pleuropneumoniae typical of App. With its cytolytic toxins, App can easily overcome interlobular septa and damage an entire lung lobe or multiple lobes. Sometimes the infections progresses so fast, that the pig doesn´t even have time to develop respiratory symptoms.
