Paolo Rossi

Researcher at CRPA since 1985 and president of the Provincial Association of Agronomists of Reggio Emilia. He has acquired extensive technical expertise in the swine sector, particularly regarding the costs (investment and operational) of interventions in production facilities and slaughterhouses, as well as the development of livestock protocols/practices with high animal welfare standards.

Since 1989, he has participated in research, experimentation, and cooperation activities on topics such as technological innovation in animal production, transport, and slaughter across numerous projects at the European, national (Italy), and regional levels. He also provides technical consultancy for agri-livestock companies and consortia, and is actively involved in teaching, outreach, and scientific dissemination, with more than 300 national and international publications and numerous speaking engagements at seminars, conferences, and training courses.
