Mabel Mora

Dr. Mabel Mora is a chemical engineer and has a Master's in environmental studies and a PhD in environmental science and technology. She leads the Environmental Technologies and Circular Bioeconomy Research Line at CT BETA. She has experience in the field of waste gas treatment and valorization, especially biogas and flue gas. Her PhD research focused mainly on the implementation, optimization, and modeling of lab-scale bioprocesses to remove sulfur and nitrogen from waste effluents to produce elemental sulfur and mineralize organic matter. Dr. Mabel Mora currently coordinates a research team that develops technologies for the treatment and valorization of solid, liquid, and gaseous effluents, mainly generated in agroindustrial activities, to obtain value-added products, energy, or less harmful waste.
