Dr. Esther Vega has a degree in environmental sciences and a PhD in experimental sciences and sustainability. Her main expertise is in the field of adsorption and advanced oxidation processes. Her thesis focused on the minimization and reduction of odor-causing organic compounds in sewage sludge processing and wastewater treatment. At the BETA Technology Center, she is currently a researcher on agri-food waste management and valorization. She works mainly on technologies and implementation of strategies for the mitigation of greenhouse gas and ammonia emissions.
