Edgar Velarde Meneses

Agricultural and livestock engineer degree from the University of the Armed Forces in Ecuador and a Master's degree in management of knowledge organizations in Mexico, he combines advanced academic training with specialized certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, PMI Project Management, Integrated Management Systems Auditor, PQA & TQA Plus Advisor among others. His career is marked by significant roles in management and innovation in swine production both in Ecuador and Mexico, collaborating with leading companies in the sector.

In his career he has been in charge of the quality department, research & development, and as production manager for the technical and operational management of intensive swine farms, leading the improvement in reproductive efficiency and optimization of the wean to finish stage, with a focus on data analysis, continuous process improvement, cost reduction, improvement of animal health and welfare, legal and commercial certifications, and training and retention of human talent.
