WelFarmers represented at the Global Forum on Pig Production in Finland

On Wednesday, 3 June 2026, WelFarmers was represented at the Global Forum on Pig Production, held in Seinäjoki, Finland. The seminar was organised by Atria Suomi, Kotieläintilojen Älyklusteri project, and Into Seinäjoki, and brought together approximately 90 pig production professionals.

The event focused on the digitalisation of the pig production chain, featuring presentations from around the world on the use of artificial intelligence and new technologies at different stages of pig production. Six stands were also set up, where companies and projects had the opportunity to present their work, including WelFarmers.

WelFarmers was present with an information stand, staffed by Taru Antikainen and Kristina Ahlqvist, where attendees could learn about the project's initiatives on pig welfare across Europe.

The WelFarmers presence at the event also gained broader visibility when the stand and team member Taru Antikainen appeared in a segment broadcast during the 10 pm news on MTV3, one of Finland's major television channels. The news segment covered Finnish pig production.
