Antibodies

They are a kind of highly complex proteins produced by the animal. They have a protective ability and they help the animal to fight against microorganisms and, in this way, avoid that the animal gets ill or reduce the effects of the disease. The antibody recognizes and binds a unique part of the foreign target, called an antigen.
