Susana Mesonero Escuredo

Veterinarian specializing in swine management and health, with more than 20 years of professional experience, developed mainly in veterinary technical service positions and customer support in international genetics, biological products, pharmaceutical industry, and animal feed additive companies.

Throughout her career, she has worked directly with veterinarians, producers, and integrating companies, providing technical advice and support in resolving health and production problems. Her experience includes case management, field studies and trials, data analysis, and technical training.

She holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) and subsequently completed her residency at the European College of Porcine Health Management (ECPHM). She earned a Master's degree in Management and Administration of the Animal Health Industry from ESIC. As part of her specialized training in swine, she undertook a placement at the Swine Disease Eradication Center of the University of Minnesota (USA).

She has contributed to publications, presented at national and international conferences and lectures, and has worked as a lecturer in universities and postgraduate programs. She is also co-author and co-coordinator of the book Claves para la Cría de Porcino Bajo una Estrategia One Health (Keys to Pig Farming Under a One Health Strategy).

Her professional career combines field experience with scientific knowledge, addressing swine health and production from a One Health perspective.
