Naiana currently serves as a Senior Swine Scientist at Cargill Animal Nutrition & Health . She focuses on developing and evaluating nutritional strategies that improve pig performance and health, with strong emphasis on translating scientific insights into practical applications.

She holds a Doctor degree in Swine Nutrition from the Federal University of Pelotas (Brazil), including a research period at North Carolina State University (USA), and is also trained as a veterinarian. Her academic background provides a strong foundation in animal physiology, nutrition, and applied research.

Naiana began her career in Brazil as a Technical Manager, working primarily with mineral nutrition for swine. Her work is centered on bridging biology, data, and real-world application, ensuring that research findings are not only scientifically robust but also relevant for field conditions.

She has experience in nursery pig research, including trial design, data interpretation, and the evaluation of nutritional interventions related to digestibility, lipid metabolism, and gut health.
