Monitoring salinity, pH, and water temperature is an important routine in the maintenance of a marine aquarium or aquaculture system.
The HANNA HI981520-02 is a very easy-to-use instrument that continuously monitors and displays salinity (via electrical conductivity - EC) and pH. The system can be calibrated at one or two points for pH and at one point for conductivity. Seawater salinity is displayed in parts per thousand (ppt), salinity practical units (PSU), or specific gravity (SG). A high/low alarm can be set for each parameter. Measurement results are continuously displayed on a large, easy-to-read LCD screen. The permanently attached 2-ring conductivity probe features an integrated temperature sensor for fast and highly accurate temperature measurements. The HI1286 gel-filled pH electrode features a PEI body that is easy to clean and resistant to many harsh chemicals. Additionally, the dual-diaphragm design is less prone to clogging and ensures fast, stable readings. The pH electrode is replaceable.
