I came across the attched picture of a wild hog. It was very healthy with a lots of fat and coat. Only oddity was the purple splotches on the lungs. Splotches had no texture, felt just like the rest of the lung tissue. Does anyone KNOW what this is, safe to eat??

10-Dez-2019rytis.cepulis_2I would think that it is aspiration of blood into lungs that happened during death / agony. It often happens when slaughtering dimestic pigs. I would throw away only lungs.
