For the second round, the good practices identified by the regional networks were evaluated by thematic groups representing a wide range of stakeholders.
For the second round, the good practices identified by the regional networks were evaluated by thematic groups representing a wide range of stakeholders: pig producers, policymakers, competent authorities, advisors, scientists and members of the food chain.
Following the thematic evaluation process, 21 good practices were shortlisted for the final voting stage. Five practices were selected from each thematic group, except for the Space Allowance and Flooring theme, where six practices were retained due to the high quality and similarity of the submissions. The Regional Networks then voted on the shortlisted practices and selected the three best practices in each theme, resulting in a final set of 12 good practices.
