IPRRS 2026
Welcome to the International Symposium on Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus and other Swine Viruses (IPRRSS) 2026, which will be held from 6th to 8th October, 2026, in Barcelona, Spain. We are honored to bring together researchers, veterinarians, industry professionals, and students from around the world to exchange knowledge and share the latest advances in the understanding, prevention and control of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS). PRRS continues to represent one of the most persistent and economically significant diseases in global pig production, demanding coordinated research efforts and innovative solutions. The comprehensive scientific program will feature keynote lectures by leading international experts, oral and poster sessions, and interactive discussions covering a wide range of topics — from molecular virology, pathogenesis and immunity to diagnostics, epidemiology and vaccination strategies, among others.
While PRRS remains at the heart of this event, the symposium will also address other major viral diseases impacting swine health and production, including Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus, influenza A virus, and other emerging or re-emerging viruses of global relevance. This broader scope reflects the interconnected challenges faced by the modern swine industry.
It is our goal that IPRRSS2026 serves as a unique platform for collaboration, knowledge exchange, networking and innovation within the field of veterinary virology — helping to foster scientific dialogue, strengthen international collaboration, and promote new ideas that drive progress in swine health and virology.
