More than 50 young agripreneurs, farmers, and stakeholders gathered in Ho for a two-day youth dialogue on sustainable livestock development, hosted by FAO Ghana and the World Food Forum, Ghana Chapter.

The dialogue, held at the Regional Coordinating Council Conference Hall, focused on strengthening youth participation in the livestock value chain through practical farm training, policy engagement, and networking.

Participants explored how innovation, agribusiness, and technology can drive a more sustainable livestock sector. The sessions combined technical presentations, policy discussions, and field visits to encourage youth-led ideas and environmentally responsible practices.

The Interactive sessions also highlighted key areas such as value addition, access to finance, business management, and green innovation. The event featured an exhibition of locally processed livestock products, showcasing the creativity and potential of young entrepreneurs.

FAO reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young people to play meaningful roles in transforming agrifood systems. It also called for stronger collaboration among government, youth, and development partners to ensure Ghana’s livestock sector remains a source of innovation, resilience, and opportunity for generations to come.
