As reported last week, the Hungarian veterinary authorities confirmed a fifth outbreak of foot and mouth disease in the country.
According to data presented by Hungary during the meetings of the Animal Health and Welfare Committee of the Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed (PAFF) on April 25, the detection of this latest outbreak on a cattle farm located in Rábapordány has led to the preventive culling of 9,888 pigs from a neighboring pig farm.
