In June 2026, Société Les Grands Moulins du Phare (SGMP) and Mixscience brought together more than 100 Animal farmers in Pointe-Noire and Brazzaville for technical seminars aimed at improving farm productivity. The initiative focused on equipping pig producers with practical knowledge and technical support to strengthen the performance of the sector across the Republic of the Congo.

‎The pig production sessions covered essential areas including nutritional requirements at different growth stages, factors limiting herd performance, optimisation of SGMP feeding programmes, and strategies for managing feed costs. Participants were also encouraged to adopt sound farm management practices and use balanced, safe feed to improve productivity and efficiency.

‎The seminars highlighted the strong partnership between SGMP and Mixscience in supporting pig farmers through practical training and technical expertise. By promoting the adoption of improved production practices, the initiative aims to strengthen the long-term development and sustainability of the Republic of the Congo's pig sector.
