Farm Innovations Nigeria has unveiled Vetwiz 2.0, an artificial intelligence-powered digital platform aimed at transforming disease surveillance in livestock.
The company described Vetwiz 2.0 as a major upgrade designed to make animal disease monitoring smarter and more responsive. The launch took place in Abuja, where officials highlighted its potential to strengthen national animal health systems.
According to Farm Innovations, the platform was developed in collaboration with the National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI) and Bioscience for Climate and Nutrition (BCN). The initiative seeks to provide digital support for both human and animal health workers.
Key features of Vetwiz 2.0 include AI-driven diagnostic tools, real-time outbreak alerts and advanced data analytics intended to inform national animal health policies. Originally created for community animal health workers, the system has now been expanded to serve veterinarians, government agencies and rural farmers across Nigeria.
