Eswatini has confirmed outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) affecting its livestock sector. In response to the situation, imports of fresh meat and related products from all regions of Eswatini have been placed under restriction as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the disease.

Authorities are actively monitoring the situation and implementing control measures to contain the outbreak and safeguard animal health.
