PhD in Veterinary Biopathology / Monitoring of Infectious Diseases – University of Minnesota (2002)

Postdoctorate in the proliferative enteropathy laboratory of the University Minnesota (2003)

Visiting professor at the Technical University of Denmark in Copenhagen (2008-2009)

Currently, he is an Associate professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and the treasurer of the regional branch in Minas Gerais of the Brazilian Association of Veterinarians Specialised in Swine. He has experience in veterinary pathology and infectious diseases of pigs.
