Majority of the attendees were Muslims who are smallholder producers from different regions of Northern Sierra Leone. More than 80% of the attendees of the training sessions were muslims who produce and consume pigs in Northern regions of Sierra Leone (although they consume it privately to avoid public stigmatization). Most of them are smallholder farmers who own few numbers of pigs ranging from a dozen to 40 pigs. Some commercial producers who lack both knowledge, and right inputs for sustainable pig farming were also present at the sessions.

The training sessions at SLARI training Hall was followed by onsite practical session at an integrated commercial farm located in Ropukr. During the practical session, Ayobami exposed the attendees to the basics of farm management and ideal daily management routines of farm workers as well as animal handling and mating management. He also emphasized on the need for proper feeding of pigs of all ages according to production cycles as well as proper waste control in farms which is essential for diseases reduction and sustainable pig farming.
