In the first three weeks since the start of the reinforcement of population control in Zone I by trained hunters, 217 animals have been killed, all of them negative by PCR.
Regarding actions taken at pig farms and other pig establishments located in Zones I and II, the Official Veterinary Services (SVO) are maintaining their controls, inspecting biosecurity measures and carrying out the enhanced passive surveillance established by EU regulations at the 45 commercial farms and at the 15 non-commercial pig establishments under official control (including experimental centers, self-consumption facilities, and training farms). No compatible symptoms or lesions have been detected at any of them.
