France: sentence of the Court of Justice of the European Union on the Nitrates Action Programmes

The Court of Justice of the European Union maintains that the action programmes that were applied in the areas susceptible to nitrates between 2009 and 2012 were not strict enough as to fulfil the requirements of the European Directive.
The majority of the issues set out in the sentence of the Court of Justice of the European Union have already been corrected in the new regulation (prohibition period, model for the calculation of the storage capacity, regulations for the nitrogen effluents from ruminants and pigs, etc.).
