Russia confirms an outbreak of FMD in pigs

Evgeny Nepoklonov, Chief of the Russian Phytosanitary Federal Service (Rosselkhoznadzor) has informed the OIE about an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in pigs with 6780 susceptible animals of wich 4070 cases.
The infected animals belong to the pig farm of the company "Merci trade". The investigation is on-going.
