Mongolia:first occurrence of serotype A of foot and mouth

On Tuesday, July 9 OIE reported the occurrence of two outbreaks of FMD in Mongolia, in 15 cattle in Bayan-Ulgii.

Since the serotype involved in this event has now been identified, according to the historical data available, this finding constitutes the first occurrence of serotype A of foot and mouth disease in this country.
