China confirms new foot-and-mouth disease outbreaks

The Chinese veterinary authorities have informed the WOAH about the appearance of a foot-and-mouth disease outbreak in the town of Heping (Xianggelila, Diqing, Yunnan), that affects a total of 1,213 susceptible heads of cattle and 554 pigs, of which 283 cattle and no pigs are cases. There is another outbreak in Tibet that only affects cattle.
