China: foot-and-mouth disease in pigs

The Chinese veterinary authorities have informed the WOAH of the presence of pigs affected by the foot-and-mouth disease.

The source of infection is located in the district of Zhonglou (Changzhou, Jiangsu). The epidemiologic unit is the whole of the village and there is a total of 405 susceptible animals and 4 cases have appeared.
