Cherkizovo: Result of EGM

February 26, 2009 – Cherkizovo OJSC, one of Russia’s leading integrated and diversified meat producers, today announces that, further to the Company's announcement of 16 December 2008, the Extraordinary General Meeting convened at 11.00am Moscow time today has duly passed all the resolutions.

The shareholders have elected the following members to the Board of Directors:

· Igor Erzolovich Babaev
· Musheg Lorisovich Mamikonyan
· Evgeny Igorevich Mikhaylov
· Sergey Igorevich Mikhaylov
· Samuel B. Lipman
· Marcus Rhodes
· Yury Nikolaevich Dyachuk

Marcus Rhodes was elected as a new independent member of the Board.
Mr. Igor Babaev was elected Chairman of the Board at the Board meeting held after the Extraordinary General Meeting.

Marcus Rhodes

Mr. Rhodes has 20 years of professional experience in audit. He held various auditing positions within well recognized financial services consulting companies in different countries, including Poland and Russia. From 2002 to 2008, Mr. Rhodes acted as an audit partner for Ernst & Young. Mr. Rhodes earned degrees in accounting from Loughborough University in England in 1982, and from Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales in 1986.
