China confirms an outbreak of FMD in pigs

Accodding to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), Foot-and-mouth disease infections have been confirmed in swine in Puwan New District (Dalian), in northeast China's Liaoning Province.
A total of 43 pigs showed symptoms associated with FMD on 19 Nov 2012.
The pigs were infected with FMD virus serotype O.
