Guatemala: new outbreak of classical swine fever

The outbreak was detected by veterinarians from the official Services. The event is limited to this farm, located in Santo Domingo Suchitepequez, Village of Monterrey (Suchitepequez).

No more cases observed. Epidemiological surveillance is ongoing at a national level. Vaccination is applied to pigs within a 3-km radius around the outbreaks; population vaccinated is composed of backyard animals; there is no industrial pig production unit within this perimeter.
