France – Number of slaughters in 2010 remains the same

10-Feb-2011 (15 years 3 months 28 days ago)The latest data published by Agreste indicates that during 2010 the slaughter of fattening pigs was very similar to that of 2009 (-0,1%) while weight increased slightly by 0,4%. On the other hand, there was a strong increase in the slaughter of piglets (+17%).
Within the months of January to November live animal exports diminished by 4,4% while exportation of pork meat increased by 1,9 %.
