Germany – Veterinarians will have to guarantee meat quality

With the objective of further guaranteeing meat quality, last October the German Federal Chamber of Veterinarians published, in conjunction with the Regional Veterinary Medicine Work Group, a revised guide on the sensible use of antibiotics in livestock.

The guide stresses the need for a solid diagnostic, the correct selection of an antibiotic and the selective use of medicines during an adequate time period.
