21-Jun-2010 (15 years 11 months 18 days ago)In Denmark, several studies about piglet mortality puts the rate at 24% during the first 4 weeks of life. These results have been deemed “unacceptable” by the Danish Minister of Agriculture, Henrik Hoegh.
In order to try and resolve this problem, the Danish Minister has asked the Food Authority to identify the causes of the elevated mortality rate and to present proposals to improve the current situation.
