04-Jun-2010 (16 years 6 days ago)The pig supply situation in Thailand remains worrisome as hot weather and lack of good-quality water continues to cripple production flow. Drought in many areas have caused pig farmers to secure water supply from external sources.
The average weight of a live pig ready for slaughter has fallen to 95 kg from 100 kg normally for 3-4 weeks . Pig production has dropped by 30% and continues to fall.
