Spain - Pigmeat exports increased by 1.2%

26-Apr-2010 (16 years 1 months 13 days ago)The latest figures offered by the Spanish Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs show that in 2009 Spanish pig meat exports increased by 1.2% reaching a total of 1.25 million tonnes.
The percentage of the Spanish production directed at foreign markets is higher than that recorded in previous years (approximately 38% of swine production in 2009 was destined for foreign trade). An important increase was shown in exports to EU countries (6.2%).
Meanwhile, the total imports decreased by 0.1%.
