The veterinary authorities of Italy have presented a report to the European Commission on the situation of the island of Sardinia in relation to the focal points of African swine fever.

The report makes a historic review of the focal points that have appeared since 2004 until the beginning of 2010.

Sardinia reported four outbreaks during 2010, two in Nurri, 1 in Sinnai and 1 in Quartu S. Elena (Cagliari province).
