Record six-month period for Brazilian pork exports

Brazilian pork exports (including all products, both fresh and processed) reached 132,400 tons in June, according to the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA). This volume was 3.5% lower than the 137,200 tons exported in the same month last year.

Export revenues reached $312.8 million, down 8.4% from June 2025, when they stood at $341.7 million.

Despite the decrease in June, the sector closed the first half of 2026 with the best result in the history of Brazilian pork exports. Between January and June, shipments reached 794,200 tons, a volume 10% higher than in the same period in 2025, when 722,000 tons were exported.

In value terms, the cumulative growth was 7.9%, with revenues of $1,859 million between January and June of this year, compared to $1,723 million in the same period of the previous year.

The Philippines remained the leading market for Brazilian exports in June with 23,500 tons (-30.4%). Other leading destinations include:

Santa Catarina maintained national leadership among the states, with 65,200 tons exported in June (-6.9%), followed by Rio Grande do Sul, with 31,400 tons (-4.7%), Paraná, with 20,700 tons (+3.2%), Minas Gerais, with 4,100 tons (+26.3%), and Mato Grosso, with 4,000 tons (+23.3%).
