The official mission of Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) to Panama advanced the development of partnerships aimed at strengthening the security of fertilizer supplies for Brazil and expanding agricultural trade between the two countries. The agenda also identified opportunities for cooperation in the logistics of agricultural inputs, biological products, and agricultural technology.
During the visit, officials reviewed procedures related to the transportation of fertilizers, grains, natural gas, and raw materials used in fertilizer production. The agenda also provided an opportunity to assess Panama’s potential as a strategic logistics hub for supplying these inputs to the Brazilian market.
Panama’s strategic geographic location and its connectivity to major global shipping routes through the Panama Canal enhance its importance for future cooperation initiatives aimed at strengthening agribusiness supply chains.
