Netherlands - Higher production, more fattener exports

08-Jan-2010 (16 years 5 months ago)The number of slaughterings of pigs in the Netherlands increased in 2008 by around 1.5% to reach 14.4 million animals. The export of live animals rose by a good 3%.
This growth can be fully attributed to the export of fatteners; exports of piglets at almost 5 million were slightly lower, while exports of piglets to Germany were however up.
