The Average Annual Growth Rate (TMCA) recorded is 3.01% which represents an increase from 4.36 million tons in the year 2000 to 5.53 million tons in 2008.
In the specific case of pig meat, the production has increased from 1.03 million tons in 2000 to 1.16 million tons nine years later, which means an average yearly increase of 1.5 percent.
