The GDP for Thailand’s livestock sector is forecast to grow 2.2-2.3% in 2010, according to a recent prediction by the Office of Agricultural Economics.
Factors for the growth include favorable prices in 2009 that encouraged expansion of chicken and pork production and the government’s supporting policies such as zoning for FDM-free pork production.
